Avatar meets 300

For those of you that have an inclination towards anime, I would recommend Nickelodeon’s Avatar. I opted not to link to nick.com because it is, shall we say, flash heavy.

Avatar keeps a fast pace and does not retread action or story multiple times, and so does not suffer from DragonBall Z syndrome. It has fun characters and a good balance of action and comedy.

In short, you should watch it if you haven’t yet.

My friend, who was the one to recommend Avatar to me, created this Avatar/300 mash-up in a fit of late night madness. Enjoy.

The sock post is still on the way.

The Statement of Purpose

A statement of purpose seems to be a good place to start.

I’ve had other blogs that have come and gone, we will see if this one sticks.

I won’t use a pseudonym. Partly because anonymity is only surface deep when it comes to the web, but mostly because I don’t think it is needed. There are many Pauls out there. Even so, tracking me down specifically wouldn’t be a difficult exercise.

As far as content goes, I’m unsure as to what this space will be used for. Will it be a personal blog? Will I talk about my AI and video game interests? Will I just post pictures of my cats and girlfriend? I choose to do as I tend to, and leave my options open. Flexibility is key and I will write posts as they hit me.

To give a taste of what is to come: I think my first real post will be about socks.
